DHAKA, Dec 13, 2025 (BSS) - The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division filed 1,513 cases against traffic law violators across the capital on Friday.

According to the DMP sources, the highest number of cases were filed in Mirpur (277), followed by Motijheel (297), Gulshan (200), Uttara (221), Tejgaon (165), Wari (146), Lalbagh (115) and Ramna (92), said a press release here today.

Motorcycles accounted for the majority of violations, alongside buses, trucks, covered vans and CNG-run auto-rickshaws.

During the drive, 353 vehicles were dumped and 148 vehicles were seized for violating traffic laws.

The DMP said such operations will continue to ensure traffic discipline and improve road safety in the Dhaka metropolitan areas.
