Police return 43 missing mobile phones in city

DHAKA, Dec 11, 2025 (BSS) – Police have returned a total of 43 recovered mobile phones of different brands to their rightful owners in the capital.

Paltan Model Police Station has successfully returned those mobile phone sets to their rightful owners, who lost them in various places earlier, police said.

Paltan police, with the help of information technology, recovered the mobile phones from November 1 to November 30, which had been lost, stolen, or robbed at different times.

Following senior police officers’ instructions, Assistant Commissioner (AC) of Motijheel Zone under Dhaka Metropolitan Police Hussein Muhammad Farabi and Sub-Inspector (SI) of Paltan Model Police Station Iqbal Hossain played a significant role in recovering the lost mobile phone sets.

AC Farabi and other officers handed over the items to their owners at Paltan Police Station on December 3.

Deputy Commissioner (Public Relations Division) Muhammad Talebur Rahman said Paltan police recovered over 500 mobile phone sets and handed them over to rightful owners during the last 11 months.

He said mobile phone receivers expressed their gratitude to police for their outstanding performance.
