KHULNA, Dec 10, 2025 (BSS) - The 54th martyrdom anniversary of Bir Shreshtha 
Shaheed Ruhul Amin, one of the seven highest gallantry award recipients of 
the Liberation War, was observed here today with due honour and solemnity.

Besides, the 54th Martyrdom Anniversary of Bir Bikrom Shaheed Mohibullah, who 
made the supreme sacrifice in the War of Liberation, was also observed here 
on the same day. 

To mark the anniversary, the Bangladesh Navy in Khulna has arranged 
programmes including laying wreaths at the graves, discussions on their 
heroism, doa mahfil and recitation from the Holy Quran.

Commander of Khulna Naval Area Rear Admiral AKM Zakir Hossain placed floral 
wreaths at the memorial of the two heroes and presented a guard of honour. 

A significant number of officers and sailors of the Khulna Naval Area were 
present on the occasion. A special prayer was offered seeking eternal peace 
for the departed souls of the martyrs.

Besides, after Zohr prayers, special munajat was also held at all mosques 
under the Khulna Naval Area, seeking divine blessings for all martyred 
freedom fighters who laid down their lives in the Liberation War.
 
Officers and sailors of the naval area attended the prayers.
