CHATTOGRAM, Dec 5, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman here today said fascists but not fascism have departed yet from the country and warned that people in no way would tolerate reemergence or fresh practice of fascist culture in the future.
“If anyone tries to behave like deposed fascist forces, I categorically would like to announce that, whether it (fascism) is red or black, none in this soil would tolerate them” Jammat Ameer said while addressing the Chattogram divisional rally of 8-party alliance held at Laldighi Maidan this afternoon.
8-party alliance organized the grand gathering as part of its countrywide programme to press home their five-point demands that include implementation of the July Charter before the national election through a separate referendum, introduction of PR system for both upper and lower houses of the parliament, ensuring level playing field before national election , visible trial and punishment of genocide and corruption carries out by deposed Awami League and imposition ban on the activities of component parties of AL-led 14-party alliance as collaborator of AL’s misdeeds.
Senior Nayeb-e-Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Mufti Syed Md Foyzul Karim and Ameer of Bangladesh Kelafhat Majlish Moulana Mamunul Haque also addressed the meeting.
Dr. Shafiqur said that they do not want victory of any particular party, even of 8-part but want to ensure victory of aspiration of 18 crore people of the country.
He said such victory will help materialize establishment of the law and rule of the Quran. The whistle of the victory will be blown from villages and future Bangladesh would be the Bangladesh of Quran, he added.
Jamaat Ameer said that people of the country did not talk freely from 2009 to July 2024. There were no safety and security of the people and people who became victim of suppression and injustice were deprived of justice, he said, adding that the country witnessed unbridled corruption as twenty eight lakh crore taka were plundered and laundered by the then ruling party Awami League.
“They told the people about their development story claiming that Bangladesh has developed as equal heights of Singapore and Canada. Yes, not Bangladesh, they made their fortune like Singapore and Canada,” Jamaat chief pointed out.
Senior Nayebe Ameer of Islami Andolan Bangladesh Mufti Syed Foyzul Karim alleged that conspiracies were underway to defer the national polls and added that “the next election must be held in February and the interim government should create congenial atmosphere now for election”.
He said, “We thought of a discrimination and extortion-free country during post July uprising era but unfortunately, it cannot happened. Rather, extortion has not been stopped; there is no safety of businessmen and people in general.”
“We did not want such a country. So we would launch another movement against extortion and to establish the rule of Islam in the future,” he added.
Bangladesh Khelafat Majlish Ameer Moulana Mamunul Haque said they want to establish rights of the people through establishing the rule of Quran and disseminate the message and benefits of Islam up to downtrodden class.
“We have seen Sonar Bangladesh, digital Bangladesh also. Now we want to see Islamic Bangladesh”, he said, calling upon the people to make victorious the “Yes” in the upcoming referendum.
