COX'S BAZAR, Dec 5, 2025 (BSS) - BNP National Standing Committee Member Salahuddin Ahmed today said if the BNP gets the opportunity to form the government, it will ensure agricultural cards for farmers, fair-priced seeds and fertiliser, and easy-term agricultural loans.
"Quality healthcare will be ensured for all citizens so that no one dies due to lack of treatment. Poor families will be brought under the social safety net, and essential goods, including rice and lentils, will be provided free of cost through family-based cards," he said at a street rally in Konakhali Union under Chakaria upazila of the district this morning.
The senior BNP leader said his party's foremost pledge is to establish rule of law, human rights, fundamental and citizen's rights, based on the sacrifices of the people, the blood of martyrs, and their commitment to democracy.
"The BNP believes that in the days ahead, it will be possible to build a democratic and justice-based Bangladesh. Through 16-17 years of struggle, a fascism-free and democratic environment has been restored in Bangladesh. In the upcoming national parliamentary elections, the people must exercise their voting rights in a free, neutral, and festive atmosphere," Salahuddin added.
He further said that employment opportunities will be created for educated unemployed youth, and an unemployment allowance will be provided until they secure jobs. Initiatives will be taken to employ 10-15 million people within one to one and a half years, he added.
The BNP national standing committee member claimed that the BNP makes promises and implements them. The party is committed to safeguarding independence, freedom fighters, and democracy, as well as to the country's
development.
Meanwhile, large crowds attended Salahuddin Ahmed's road-show events. He was greeted with floral tributes by his supporters.
In addition, he provided financial assistance to seven families affected by the fire in Pekua's Mognama.
