BAGURA, Dec 05, 2025 (BSS) - BNP’s acting chairman Tarique Rahman has provided financial assistance for wedding of Afifa Arbi, daughter of Maryam Begum, a member of Pourasava Mahila Dal of Gabtoli Upazila here.

“The financial assistance was provided yesterday following the instruction of Tarique Rahman, the main patron of Amra BNP Paribar,” BNP Media Cell Rajshahi-Rangpur Coordinator Kalam Azad said.

Convenor of Amra BNP Paribar Atiqur Rahman Rumon joined the wedding ceremony and handed over the financial assistance to Maryam Begum.

Azad said that Maryam Begum worked tirelessly in all the movements and took part in all movements against the oppressive government.

Mariam Begum expressed gratitude to BNP and Tarique Rahman for the support and sympathy showed to her. 

She also prayed for Tarique Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia and the Zia family, Azad said.
