DHAKA, Dec 4, 2025 (BSS) - The National Citizen Party (NCP) has expressed deep concern and strong condemnation over the killing of two Bangladeshi civilians by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).
In a statement issued today, the party said the actions of the Indian border guards constitute a clear violation of international law, human rights principles, and diplomatic norms, and are therefore completely unacceptable.
The party said the incident, along with all past cases of border killings, requires a fair, transparent, credible and independent investigation.
The party urged the Bangladesh government to provide full legal and necessary assistance to the families of the victims and to demand appropriate compensation from the Indian government.
Calling for an immediate end to what it described as the BSF's "long-standing pattern of criminal behavior along the border," the statement said India must take effective measures without delay.
The NCP also appealed to global human rights organisations to pay close attention to the incidents so that no one can repeat such unjust and inhuman acts in violation of international law.
They said NCP believes in maintaining balanced and dignified relations with all neighboring countries and wishes to see friendly ties flourish among peoples across the region.
Referring to past incidents, including the widely discussed killing of Felani, the party said ensuring justice for earlier cases of border killings could have prevented many later tragedies.
It called on the Bangladesh government to conduct comprehensive investigations into all past incidents of border killings and human rights violations and to present the findings before the international community without delay.
