RANGPUR, Dec 3, 2025 (BSS) - Islami Andolan Bangladesh Ameer Mufti Syed
Muhammad Rezaul Karim has said that the people of the country are eagerly
waiting for the ballot boxes to arrive and they will vote for humanity and
against fascism.
"I can still see the scene of martyr Abu Sayeed stretching out his two hands.
He gave his life to eliminate discrimination and protect the country from the
hands of oppressors, and he fell on the street.
Inspired by that feeling, but without fear of death, I took to the streets in
favor of justice and in protest against injustice. Alhamdulillah, Allah, the
Lord of the Worlds, has given us victory," he said.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the divisional rally
organised by the eight-party alliance at the Collectorate Eidgah Maidan in
Rangpur city with five-point demands, including holding a referendum, on
Wednesday afternoon.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Professor Mujibur
Rahman presided over the mammoth rally participated by thousands of leaders
and activists of the alliance from across Rangpur division.
Mufti Rezaul Karim said, "I want to tell everyone that thousands of Hafez,
scholars, students, children of young mothers, and students gave their lives
just not to put one down and send another to power."
They gave their lives to free the country from fascism, to protect the
country from murderers, and to overthrow those who are in our country and are
slaves to foreigners, and to make our country stand with its head held high.
The people's basic demand was that there should be fundamental reforms in the
country. Murderers and money launderers should be tried in a visible manner.
After that, an environment of level playing field-national elections would be
created.
"But we saw that a class of power-hungry people has gone not only crazy but
doubly crazy to come to power without giving importance to reforms and
visible justice," he said.
Mufti Rezaul Karim said, "Those who love Bangladesh, those who love Islam,
those who try to protect the welfare of humanity, have come out on the
streets today. The people are waiting to vote for humanity and against
fascism."
He said, "Today we have come out on the streets to protect this country.
There will be a movement to oust extortionists, power-hungry, money
launderers, and those who want to implement the oppression of foreigners from
the land of Bengal."
In his speech, Jamaat-e-Islami's Nayeb-e-Ameer Professor Mujibur Rahman said
that the character of voting must be changed through referendum. Even though
the people got their second independence through the July Movement, the war
is not over yet.
The Jamaat leader said, "Abu Sayeed's war target was 'We want justice' - we
want justice. But justice has not been achieved in Bangladesh, where
oppression, torture and torture have been committed."
He said, "There is another war left, the war to establish Islam for justice.
Just as the companions of the Prophet (PBUH) sacrificed their lives to
establish the law of the Quran at Badr, Uhud, and Khand wars, we have to
fight for us in their footsteps."
Professor Mujibur Rahman said, "We have to do politics for the welfare of the
people. The focus of all work will be to do good to the people. If you do
politics for individual welfare, selfishness, extortion, corruption, you will
not get any good in the hereafter."
He said, "Our eight parties want to do good in this world to get good in the
hereafter too. For the welfare of the hereafter, we have to sacrifice our
lives like martyrs Abu Sayeed and Mugdho. We are willing to give our lives to
implement the law of Allah."
