DHAKA, Nov 24, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Embassy in Kathmandu will host the
"Bangladesh Fish Festival" on 28 November, showcasing Bangladeshi freshwater
and marine fish to Nepali consumers, hospitality operators and importers as
part of efforts to boost fish exports.
As a prelude to the festival, the Embassy organised a fish display event
today with participation from leading Bangladeshi exporters.
A large number of Nepali fish importers, hotel managers, resort executives
and members of the hospitality sector attended the showcase held at the
Embassy premises.
Hotel Association of Nepal (HAN) President Binayak Shah thanked the Embassy
for arranging the event and promoting business linkages between the two
countries.
Welcoming the guests, Bangladesh Ambassador to Nepal highlighted the unique
flavour and culinary value of Bangladeshi fish, referring to the longstanding
heritage, delicacy and global recognition of traditional Bangladeshi fish
dishes.
He underscored the strong export potential of Bangladesh's fisheries sector
and expressed gratitude to Nepali hospitality stakeholders and HAN for their
active participation in the display.
The Embassy said diplomats, senior government officials and prominent
business leaders are expected to attend the Bangladesh Fish Festival on 28
November.
