Online GD launched in 151 police stations in Rajshahi, Rangpur

DHAKA, July 10, 2025 (BSS) - All types of online General Diary (GD) services have been launched in all 151 police stations under Rajshahi and Rangpur ranges and Rajshahi Metropolitan Police and Rangpur Metropolitan Police today.

As part of the move to simplify the police services, Bangladesh Police has launched the facility of filing all types of GDs online from home in line with the directives of the Chief Adviser.

Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Media, Police Headquarters, Enamul Haque Sagar confirmed the matter to media. 

"Bangladesh Police is committed to delivering police services to the doorstep of the people in the fastest and easiest way," he said.

Currently, online GD services are available in all police stations of Dhaka Range, Mymensingh Range, Sylhet Range and Sylhet Metropolitan Police and Chittagong Range and Chittagong Metropolitan Police.

This online GD service will be launched in other ranges and metros in phases. Earlier, only GDs related to loss and receipt could be done online.

To get the online GD service, one can get this service by downloading the 'Online GD' App from the Google Play Store.
