PANCHAGARH, June 23, 2025 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organizer (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam today said there will be no compromise on the key issues of reforms before the upcoming national polls.

"We will not back down on our demand for fundamental reforms before the election. There can be no compromise on justice for the killers or the announcement of the July Charter within the month of July," he said.

Sarjis was addressing a district coordination meeting organized by the Panchagarh chapter of Jatiya Jubo Shakti (National Youth Force), at the hall room of the Panchagarh Chamber of Commerce and Industry this evening.

NCP leader also reiterated the party's firm stance on ensuring justice for the victims of political violence and the timely declaration of the "July Charter."

Referring to the political context, Alam said, "We do not want to see the interim government as a weak one. When six out of the seven major political parties agree on the need for reforms, no single party can outweigh the collective will under an interim arrangement or consensus commission."

He further added, "We expect to see the July Charter, a transparent roadmap, and visible reforms and justice before a free and fair election in this country."

Among others, Advocate Tarikul Islam, Convener of Jatiya Jubo Shakti, and Joint Convener Nesar Uddin also spoke at the event.
