DHAKA, June 5, 2026 (BSS) – The country recorded 243 confirmed measles cases and 1,168 suspected cases in the 24 hours ending at 8:00am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The information was revealed in a press release issued by the health authority today.

The DGHS said a total of 62,287 suspected measles patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country since March 15.

Of them, 58,154 have been recovered and been discharged from hospitals so far.

No death from confirmed measles was reported during the past 24 hours. However, five deaths were recorded among suspected measles patients during the period.

Since March 15, the cumulative death toll from suspected measles cases has risen to 519, while the number of deaths from confirmed measles cases stands at 91, the release added.
