DHAKA, Sep 1, 2026 (BSS)- As part of integrating modern technology into orthopedic surgery services at Bangladesh Medical University (BMU), a state-of-the-art 'C-Arm' fluoroscopy imaging machine was inaugurated.
The new medical technology was unveiled today at an informal ceremony held on the 10th floor of the university's Cabin Block by the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. F. M. Siddique.
With the commissioning of the C-Arm machine, orthopedic surgeons can now directly view real-time or live X-ray images of a patient's bones during surgery. This will enable complex bone surgeries to be performed more safely, accurately, and effectively.
During the inauguration, VC Siddique said, "Bangladesh Medical University is always committed to providing world-class medical services to the patients. This state-of-the-art C-Arm machine will further enhance the efficiency of orthopedic surgeons."
He said that patients with complex bone fractures will now receive internationally standard modern surgical services at a very affordable cost within the country.
