RAJSHAHI, Sept 11, 2026 (BSS) - A statistics workshop was held at the Department of Statistics and Data Science of Rajshahi University (RU) today.

The workshop was organised under the HEAT-ATF project to modernise teaching and learning infrastructure in Statistics and Data Science through innovative technologies for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

RU Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Md. Abdul Alim and Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Mamunur Rashid attended the programme as special guests.

Professor Mansur Rahman, Chairman of the department, presided over the workshop.

Speakers said innovative research and stronger industry-academia relations are essential to utilise the opportunities of 4IR for national development.

Three technical sessions were held after the inaugural session, with Professor A B M Rahmatullah of American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) as the resource person.
