DHAKA, Aug 15, 2026 (BSS) - Special doa and munajat were held at the national mosque Baitul Mukarram today after Zuhr prayers, marking the 82nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

Prayers were offered for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Begum Khaleda Zia, as well as for the well-being of her family members, including Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, relatives, colleagues and well-wishers.

Additionally, a special munajat was offered seeking the mercy of Almighty Allah for the peace, prosperity, sovereignty and welfare of the country. 

The imam of the national mosque Baitul Mukarram, officials and employees of the Islamic Foundation, worshippers and people from various professions participated in the prayers.
