PABNA, March 29, 2026 (BSS) - President Mohammed Shahabuddin offered doa at the graves of his parents, other family members and relatives at ‘Pabna Sadar Central Graveyard’ in Arifpur here today, the second day of his visit to his hometown Pabna.

The Head of the State paid his respects at the graves of his parents - Sharifuddin Ansari and Khairunnessa - and other relatives at the Arifpur graveyard at about 12:30 pm.

President’s spouse Dr Rebeka Sultana, his nephews, Bangabhaban officials, Pabna deputy commissioner, superintendent of police of the district and some other family members were present during munajat at the graveyard.

President Shahabuddin is now on a four-day visit to his Pabna hometown since Saturday last. 

It is his fourth visit to Pabna district after assuming the office while it is the first one since the formation of the new government led by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

The President is scheduled to come back Dhaka on March 31, according to his visit schedule.
