KHULNA, Aug 25, 2026 (BSS) – The dengue situation in Khulna division remains alarming as 202 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the division in the last 24 hours, according to the latest report of the health authorities.

Of the newly admitted patients from Monday at 8:01am to Tuesday at 8:00am, 156 were admitted to government hospitals and 46 to private healthcare facilities.

No new dengue-related death was reported during the period, keeping the total death toll unchanged at 16.

Since January 1 this year, a total of 4,806 dengue patients have been reported across the division.

A total of 1,549 patients have been reported in Khulna district so far, while 1,131 patients have been admitted to Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH).
