DHAKA, Mar 27, 2026 (BSS) - State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Aminul Haque extended his heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to the Bangladesh archery team for grabbing gold medal in men’s compound team event of Asia Cup-World Ranking Tournament Stage-1 by beating Vietnam 231-225 in final held in Bangkok, Thailand, today.

In a congratulatory message, he expressed his excitement over the archers' incredible success, saying “This continuous success of our archers is a great source of pride for the country’s sports arena.”
 
By defeating Bhutan in the semi-finals and the powerful Vietnam in the final, they have proven that Bangladesh is now an unbeatable power on the world archery map, Aminul said, adding “This victory is an inspiration for our young generation.”

He said this is part of the regular success that Bangladesh has been getting in archery in recent years.
 
“I sincerely congratulate the players, coaches and all concerned for this historic achievement,” the state minister said.

He said becoming champions on a big stage like the Asia Cup has demonstrated the mental strength of the archers.

Aminul expressed hope that this victory would further strengthen their dream of winning medals in the upcoming Olympics and other international events.
