JAHANGIRNAGAR UNIVERSITY, Jan 27, 2026 (BSS) - Jahangirnagar University (JU) has launched a one-time 'Special Hall Transfer Window' to allow students to regularize their official hall allotments in line with their actual place of residence.

The move aims to resolve administrative complications arising from students living in halls other than those officially allotted to them.

The facility will be available only for students of the 50th, 51st and 52nd batches, said a notification signed by JU acting registrar ABM Azizur Rahman this evening.

Students currently residing in a hall different from their official allotment may apply for transfer by submitting a prescribed form. The applications will be verified by the respective hall provosts and then placed for administrative approval, the notification added.

The university clarified that this is a one-time opportunity and that all future hall allotments will strictly follow existing rules and regulations.

The deadline for submitting applications is February 17, 2026.
