SAVAR, Jan 18, 2026 (BSS)- Navy Chief Admiral M Nazmul Hasan inaugurated Bangladesh Navy School and College at Savar today.

The school is situated at Chhota Kaliakoir of Birulia union under Savar Upazila.  

Senior officials of the Dhaka Naval Region, officials of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Boards and local dignitaries were present on the occasion, said an ISPR press release.

The release said the school has been established with an aim to build a developed and orderly society and exposing students to the light of knowledge.

Rich library, computer lab, multimedia classroom, indoor play area, children’s park and a spacious playground are the unique features of the institution.

Later, the navy chief exchanged views with the guardians when he called them for cooperation and active participation at all levels for promotion, expansion and success of the school. 

The navy schools and colleges in different regions of the country are providing quality and timely learning to students contributing to development of education in the country.

Children of both military and civil backgrounds can pursue their education in the school to build up them as worthy citizens, the ISPR release said.
