KU 'C'&'D' unit admission tests held

KHULNA, Dec 19 (BSS) - The admission tests of 'C' and 'D' units for first-year undergraduate (honours) programmes of the 2025-2026 academic session at Khulna University (KU) were held smoothly and peacefully on Thursday.
The 'D' Unit admission test under the School of Management and Business Administration was conducted from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon simultaneously at Khulna University and Dhaka centres. Of the 3,603 registered candidates, about 86 percent attended the test.

The 'C' Unit admission test was held from 2:00 pm to 3:30 pm. This unit includes the Schools of Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences, Law, Education and Fine Arts. The test was conducted simultaneously at Khulna, Dhaka, Rajshahi and Chattogram centres, with around 94 percent of the 36,734 registered candidates present.

Drawing tests for applicants to the School of Fine Arts were also held on the same day from 3:45 pm to 4:45 pm.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim visited the control rooms and examination halls at Khulna University and local centres during the examinations. Pro-Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan, Treasurer Professor Dr Md Nurunnabi and other concerned teachers were also present. They expressed satisfaction over the smooth and peaceful conduct of the admission tests.

Talking to journalists at the main gate, the Vice-Chancellor said that KU admission tests are being held this year in four divisional cities, including Khulna, with a total of 108,266 candidates applying.

He said Khulna University remains a preferred choice for students due to its student-politics-free environment and absence of session backlog. He also acknowledged the contributions of the university's students, local civil society and eminent citizens, expressing hope that KU would continue to gain recognition at home and abroad.
