DHAKA, Dec 15, 2025 (BSS) – The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has implemented a series of security measures aimed at ensuring a smooth celebration of Victory Day to be observed tomorrow.
“The RAB has reinforced security arrangements for Victory Day by coordinating with other law enforcement and intelligence agencies, as well as local administrations,” a RAB statement issued here today said.
It said the elite anti-crime forces are working to implement all kinds of law and order directives, issued on the occasion of Victory Day.
An adequate number of RAB personnel will be deployed to strengthen security until 17 December 2025, with enhanced intelligence surveillance, including plainclothes operations, ensuring safety.
In addition, RAB's Cyber Monitoring Team will maintain security through online surveillance, while patrols and check posts have been set up at various locations across the country. Sweeping operations are being conducted by the Dog Squad and RAB Bomb Squad at key sites.
Besides, the RAB's special force has been kept ready to deal with any untoward situation, the statement mentioned.
Visible presence and patrols of RAB will continue at the Savar National Memorial, Bangabhaban, and the residence of the Chief Adviser as part of the security arrangements for the Victory Day-2025 celebrations.
Special intelligence operations will monitor the activities of suspicious individuals or groups to ensure that no one can carry or store any bags, sacks, or carton-like items near the venues.
In addition, necessary measures will be taken to enhance intelligence surveillance on juvenile gangs and prevent them from engaging in conflicts or disrupting events on the day.
Intelligence monitoring has been intensified, and security has been strengthened at potential public gathering spots, including areas where VVIPs, VIPs, foreign diplomats, and dignitaries are expected to move across the country.
“Check posts are being set up at key locations, including the city’s entrances and exits, and thorough searches are being conducted.
RAB forces have also intensified surveillance in slums, hotels, guest houses, newly developed residential areas on the city outskirts, and known crime-prone zones. The RAB Bomb Disposal Unit and Dog Squad have been deployed at strategic locations to ensure round-the-clock security.
The RAB members will coordinate with local public representatives and other law enforcement agencies through their respective control rooms, the statement said.
“Security arrangements will be monitored and coordinated throughout the country, including Dhaka, through the control room at RAB headquarters (hotline number: 01777720029). Everyone's cooperation is highly desirable to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country on the occasion of the Victory Day,” it added.
The RAB requested all to contact the nearest RAB office to get RAB's cooperation in case of any emergency.
