DHAKA, Nov 30, 2025 (BSS) - A special doa mahfil was held today seeking the
early recovery, longevity and well-being of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda
Zia, the mother of democracy and former Prime Minister.
The doa mahfil was organised by 'Amra BNP Paribar' after Asr prayers at
Gulshan Society Jame Mosque in the capital, said a press release here.

Besides, the doa mahfil was also attended by BNP's Central Executive

Meanwhile, in a brief discussion before the doa mahfil, Mufti Mortaza Hasan
Faizi Masum, Khatib of Gulshan Society Jame Mosque, said, "As a Muslim, our
duty is to pray for the sound health of all Muslims. Begum Khaleda Zia, wife
of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson,
has spent her entire life for the welfare of the country and its people.
Today she is sick. Her recovery is needed for the welfare of the country. Let
us all pray for Deshnetri (leader of the nation)."
Some 10 Hafizs recited the Holy Quran at Gulshan Society Jame Mosque this
morning seeking early recovery of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia,
the release added.
