DHAKA, Oct 22, 2025 (BSS) – Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed today said that land services have truly reached the doorsteps of the people.
“Once, land offices in the country were places of suffering, harassment, and difficulties. But with the use of technology, the government has brought about tremendous changes in the land management system, taking services directly to people’s doorsteps,” he said while addressing the opening session of a Training of Trainers (TOT) programme at the BCS Administration Academy here as the chief guest.
The Ministry of Land organised the training programme for officers and employees of Bogura, Naogaon, Chapainawabganj, and Rajshahi districts under the Rajshahi Division.
Moderated by Project Director of the Land Management Automation Project Md Parvez Hassan, Additional Secretary of the Land Ministry Md Emdadul Haque Chowdhury attended the programme as special guest.
The Land Secretary said there has long been a negative perception about land offices and their officials, but the government has brought about an epoch-making change in this regard through the use of ICT.
He urged officials and employees to dispel this negative image through their positive work, as the government has already digitized the sector to reduce public suffering and prevent misuse of money.
The automated land service system has improved the standard of services provided by land officials and ensured greater accountability, Saleh Ahmed added.
