KHULNA, Oct 21, 2025 (BSS) - Police recovered a throat-slit body of a woman 
on Tuesday from her residence at Hacharipara under Damodor Union in Fultala 
upazila of the district.

The deceased was identified as Asia Begum, 32, wife of Shaheed Morol.

Police also detained Md Hossain Kazi, son of Reza Kazi, resident of Narail 
Sadar upazila, near the water tank of the residence's rooftop where the body 
was found.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Fultala Police Station said, on information, police 
rushed to the spot and recovered the slit-throat body this noon.

Later, the body was sent to the Khulna Medical College and Hospital (KMCH) 
for post mortem. 

"We arrested the youth who allegedly killed the woman from the spot," he 
said, adding that he was interrogated at the police station later.

"Police primarily suspected that the killing occurred for extra-marital 
relationship between the duos. The real cause would be known after completion 
of the investigation," the OC added.
