DHAKA, Oct 14, 2025 (BSS) - The Election Commission (EC) will hold meeting with the law enforcers centering the 13th parliamentary election on October 20.
EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed informed this to reporters at his office at Nirbachan Bhaban in the city’s Agargaon.
The secretary said, “On October 20, all organizations involved in law and order, such as the army, air force, and navy, and others, have been invited to the commission secretariat. Discussions will be held with them on law and order over the elections.”
Regarding the progress of the work of expatriate voters, he said, “The work of app development in this regard is underway. We hope that it will be launched between the last week of October and the first week of November.”
The secretary said, “We have completed several preparatory works. Some more preparatory works are underway. Preparation for the election is an ongoing process. So, preparation is an ongoing process.”
Regarding the registration of local observers, he said, “Notifications were given regarding local observers. I would like to sincerely thank the media for this. Through you, we have received good and meaningful information about the organizations. Through this, we will be able to identify the real observers. With whom we will get a good observation.”
About the electoral dialogue with stakeholders, he said, “We have discussed with stakeholders at various levels and the discussion is ongoing."
