DHAKA, Oct 8, 2025 (BSS) - The Commission of Inquiry on Enforced Disappearances with the support of the Ministry of Cultural Affairs has produced a documentary titled “Unfolding The Truth” based on verified information and irrefutable evidence after a long and thorough investigation.
The information unearthed by the commission will remain a chilling testament to one of the most heinous crimes of the time, said an official release issued here today.
It said the fallen fascist regime tried to create a culture of denial by claiming that “no one has ever been victim of enforced disappearance in Bangladesh.”
“Even now, they attempt to conceal the truth about the widespread and systematic enforced disappearances that took place during their rule—through false propaganda and distorted narratives,” said the release.
It said with evidence, the documentary answered the questions who carried out the enforced disappearances, how they did it, where and how the victims were kept after being abducted, what ultimately happened to those who were victims of enforced disappearances and who were involved in these crimes.
This documentary will expose the fascists’ attempts to hide the truth, said the release.
It said based on factual and documentary proof, the Commission has uncovered secret detention centers, retrieved destroyed or concealed evidence, and revealed the entire cycle of this crime. These findings will stand as incontrovertible evidence in court.
