CHATTOGRAM, Sept 11, 2025 (BSS)- Vice-Chancellor of Chattogram University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan has called for putting intense efforts on research to achieve the desired goal.

“Research is a time-consuming, labor-intensive, and challenging process that requires dedication and efforts,” he said.

Prof Matin was addressing a Research Seminar and Project Award Presentation and Appreciation Program organized by the Department of Research and Extension at CUET today.

He urged the researchers to work devotedly and selflessly for the benefit of the larger community.

Director of the Department of Research and Extension Professor Dr. Sajal Chandra Banik presided over the function while deans of different faculties spoke on the occasion.

Dr. Ataur Rahman, a senior lecturer at the School of Engineering, RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia presented the keynote paper of the seminar.

Professor Abdul Matin underlined the importance of conducting research consistently and purposefully to effectively address various issues, whether economic, social, or political.

During the program, 47 project proposal awards were presented for the fiscal year 2025-26. Additionally, 27 teachers were recognized for completing their research projects in the previous year. Four best research publications were given awards.
