DHAKA, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS) - Palli Karma-Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) Chairman Zakir Ahmed Khan today said that journalists need to publish more in-depth news on climate affairs.
"Bangladesh is one of the most climate-vulnerable countries in the world. If detailed news on climate is published, Bangladesh will have a claim to receive compensation internationally," he said.
Addressing the closing ceremony of a three-day journalists training at the PKSF building in city, the chairman called upon media workers to play more proactive role in ensuring climate justice for Bangladeshi people.
The PKSF and the Economic Relations Division (ERD) jointly organized the training programme to make journalists more efficient in terms of financial resources to deal with effects of climate change.
A total of 60 journalists from the country's top media outlets participated in the training programme.
Khan said that PKSF has been currently working with more than 20 million low-income families in the country, adding, "PKSF is working to increase capacity of people to adapt the environment and climate change sector as important issue."
