DHAKA, Nov 30, 2021 (BSS) - Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) will go for 
elections on January 16. 

  Election Commission (EC) Secretary Md Humayun Kabir Khandaker announced the 
polls schedule today after the end of the 91st meeting of the EC.

  As per the schedule, the deadline for nomination paper submission is 
December 15 while nomination paper will be scrutinized on December 20 and 
last date for nomination paper withdrawal is December 27.

   Earlier, the 91st meeting of the EC was held at the Nirbachan Bhaban at 
Agargaon here with Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) KM Nurul Huda in the 
chair.

  The previous NCC elections were held on December 22, 2016. 

  Awami League candidate Selina Hayat Ivy was elected NCC mayor for the 
second consecutive term.
