“Distributing tree saplings in exchange for used plastic is a commendable initiative that will play a vital role in raising public awareness,” he said as the chief guest this afternoon at the university’s Hadi Chattar while launching an innovative campaign promoting environmental awareness through the exchange of used plastic bottles for tree saplings.

The program, titled “Give and Take Session-3,” was organised by Khulna University’s Forestry and Wood Technology Club.

In his brief address, the Vice-Chancellor expressed hope that such activities would continue to foster environmental consciousness in the future.
He also noted that students of the Forestry and Wood Technology Discipline regularly implement environment-friendly initiatives and emphasized that institutionalizing such practices across organizations could significantly contribute to afforestation and sustainable development.
