DHAKA, June 15, 2025 (BSS) - Water levels at 30 river stations monitored by
Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 86
stations recorded fall.
Among the 119 monitored river stations, water levels at three stations have
remained steady while no stations are flowing above the danger level, a
bulletin issued by the FFWC said here today.
The water levels of all major rivers are flowing below the danger level, read
the bulletin.
In the basins of the Gomti, Muhuri, Feni, Halda, Sangu, and Matamuhuri rivers
in the Chattogram Division, there is a possibility of light to moderate
rainfall on Day 1, moderate to heavy rainfall on Day 2, and heavy to very
heavy rainfall on Day 3. The water levels of these rivers may decrease on Day
1, remain stable on Day 2, and increase on Day 3; however, they are expected
to flow below the danger level, it added.
The water levels of the Surma and Kushiyara rivers are decreasing. They may
continue to decrease over the next 1 day, remain stable over the following 2
days, and are expected to flow below the danger level.
The water levels of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna river system are decreasing. This
trend may continue for the next 3 days, followed by stability for the next 2
days, and the rivers are expected to flow below the danger level.
The water levels of the Ganges-Padma Rivers are decreasing. This trend may
continue for the next 5 days, and the rivers are expected to flow below the
danger level.
