DHAKA, Nov 13, 2021 (BSS) – Awami League today extended greetings and congratulations to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ICT Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy for getting ASOCIO Leadership Award-2021.

The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO), an ICT federation organized by ICT associations representing from 24 economies throughout Asia Pacific, conferred the award on Joy for his contribution to bringing unprecedented change in the country's ICT sector. 

In a statement on behalf of Awami League, party’s General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today extended the greetings to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s grandson Sajeeb Wazed Joy.

Quader said Bangabandhu’s family has significant contributions to every achievement of the country.

Joy brought pride for the nation and established Bangladesh to a dignified position in the global arena by getting the ASOCIO award, he mentioned.

Terming Joy as the architect of ICT revolution and iconic personality of the country’s young generation, he said Joy is playing a crucial role silently in building a prosperous Bangladesh coping with the ever changing world.

Because of unparallel efforts of Joy, once dream of Bangladesh has turned into reality by making unprecedented progress in the field of ICT, he said.

He said Bangladesh has made a remarkable change in the field of infrastructural development of ICT under the dynamic leadership of Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Bangladesh has attained international standard capability in ICT sector and the architect of this success is Joy, he said.

Quader said Joy has opened a new door of huge potentials before the new generation by building a Digital Bangladesh.
