DHAKA, Oct 21, 2021 (BSS) - Parliamentary standing committee on the

Ministry of Women and Children Affairs today recommended carrying out union-
level awareness campaign against child marriage.

    The recommendation came at the 26th meeting of the committee held at the
Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban here with its chairman Meher Afroz in the chair.

     The committee called for carrying out union-level awareness campaign
programmes among people including the Qazi's at the rural areas after
discussing with the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.

     Committee members Shabnam Jahan, Lutfunnesa Khan, Sahadara Mannan and
Kanij Fatema, among others, attended the meeting.
