DHAKA, Oct 14, 2021 (BSS) -State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Md Murad Hassan today said the conspirators who want to destroy the communal harmony existing in the country must be resisted.

   "We want peace in the country. The conspirators who want to destroy this (communal) harmony must be resisted as we have learned to work with non-communalism spirit. It has been taught by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as this kind of ideology belongs to Awami League," he said.

   The state minister said this while addressing a function of Maha Nabami, the ninth day of the five-day Durga Puja of the Bangalee Hindu community, in city's Khamarbari area as the chief guest.

   Sanatan Samaj Kalyan Sangha organized the programme with its president Samir Chand in the chair.

   Murad along with Samir also visited the mandap and exchanged greetings with the devotees during the time.

   The state minister further said people of all religions of the country - Hindus, Muslims, Buddhists and Christians - fought shoulder to shoulder and shed blood to make Bangladesh independent responding to the call of Father of Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
