DHAKA, Oct 13, 2021 (BSS) - Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Dr Shirin

Sharmin Chaudhury called for social and global concerted efforts to
address the negative impact of the post COVID-19 and violence against
women.

   She was speaking as a panelist at a discussion on "Women: A Global
Mission in a New Reality" on the opening day of the Third Eurasian
Women's Forum in St Petersburg, Russia today.

   Valentina Matviyenko, the Speaker of Federation Council of the
Federal Assembly of Russia, inaugurated the ceremony.

   Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad Iqbalur Rahim, MP, Abida Anjum Mita , MP
and Khodeza Nasreen Akhter Hossain also attended the discussion, among
others.
