DHAKA, Sept 22, 2021 (BSS) - A court here today issued a production warrant and ordered the prison authorities to produce detained former Jubo League leader Ismail Hossain Chowdhury Samrat before it on October 25 in a graft case.

  Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge KM Imrul Qayesh passed the order as the jail authorities failed to produce the accused before it today, making the court to defer the date for holding hearing on accepting charge-sheet.

  Meanwhile, Judge Tehsin Iftekhar of Dhaka 7th Additional Metropolitan Sessions Judge set November 22 for holding hearing on charge framing in a narcotics case against Samrat and his accomplice and former Dhaka South unit Jubo League vice-president Enamul Haque Arman.

  Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on early October 6, 2019, arrested Samrat and his associate Arman from village Kunja Sreepur of Alkora union under Chauddagram upazila of Comilla district.
