Biman appoints 84 new ground service assistants 

DHAKA, April 18, 2024 (BSS) - Biman Bangladesh Airlines, country's national flag carrier, has recruited 84 ground service assistants aiming to enhance its passenger services and ground handling capacity. 

Biman Managing Director and CEO Shafiul Azim today officially issued appointment letters to 84 new ground service assistants at Biman Head Office-Balaka here, a Biman press release said.

The Biman CEO hoped that the newly recruited ground service assistants will play an important role in the continuous improvement of Biman's passenger services and increasing the capacity of ground handling.

Azim also instructed the recruits to discharge their duties with integrity, efficiency and professionalism.

A total of 1100 people have been appointed in various positions of the state owned carrier in the last one year and the recruitment process of 550 people is on, he added.

Besides, equipment worth approximately 1000 crores has been purchased to increase the capacity of ground handling.

Biman Director (Customer Service) Motiul Islam Chowdhury was present at the event, among others.
