DHAKA, Aug 19, 2021 (BSS) - Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen has expressed his deep condolences over the loss of lives by the massive 7.2 magnitude earthquake in Haiti.

In a message sent to Foreign Minister of Haiti Claude Joseph, Dr Momen conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families, relatives and friends of the departed souls, a foreign ministry press release said here today.

Dr Momen also wished for quick recovery of those, who have been badly affected by the deadly earthquake.

‘‘My thoughts and prayers are with your government and the people of Haiti at this difficult time,’’ he added.   

The foreign minister hoped that the country would soon be able to overcome the impact of the catastrophe.
