DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate Abdul Wares has won from Gaibandha-5 constituency unofficially in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 89,274 votes while his nearest rival BNP candidate Md. Faruk Alam Sarkar received 73,483 votes.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
