Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Ali Azam Md. Abu Bakar Uddin.

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Ali Azam Md. Abu Bakar Uddin has won from Jhenaidah-2 constituency unofficially in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 1,95,702 votes while his nearest rival BNP candidate Md. Abdul Majid received 1,75,984 votes.

In referendum, 2,40,355 people have cast 'Yes' votes and 1,08,911 others cast 'No' votes.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
