DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mizanur Rahman has been unofficially elected from the Chapainawabganj-2 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 1,71,227 votes.

According to the unofficially announced results, his closest rival, Md Aminul Islam of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) received 1,55,119 votes.

The information was disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and 13th National Parliamentary Election 2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission, held at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
