DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) – BNP candidate Md. Monirul Haque Chowdhury has been elected unofficially from Cumilla-6 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 2,01,706 votes while his nearest rival  Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Kazi Din Mohammad received 1,19,851 votes.

In the referendum, 2,13,249 voters cast 'Yes' votes while 98,450 others cast 'No' votes in this constituency.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
