BNP candidate Jashim Uddin wins from Cumilla-5

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) – BNP candidate Md Jashim Uddin has been elected unofficially from Cumilla-5 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 1,34,485 votes while his nearest rival  Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mobarak Hossain received 1,24,547 votes.

In the referendum, 1,77,367 voters cast 'Yes' votes while 72,642 others cast 'No' votes in this constituency.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
