BNP's Asaduzzaman wins unofficially from Jhenidah-1

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Md Asaduzzaman has been unofficially elected from the Jhenidah-1 constituency in 
the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 1,73,381 votes with the party symbol 'Sheaf of Paddy'.

According to the unofficially announced results, his closest rival Abu Saleh Md Matiur Rahman of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami received 57,055 votes.

Meanwhile in the Referendum, 95,743 voters cast votes for 'Yes' while 1,19,762 others cast 'No' votes in this constituency.

The information was disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and 13th National Parliamentary Election 2026 Results Collection and 
Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
