DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) – Advocate Md Jalal Uddin of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has been unofficially elected from Kishoreganj-2 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.

He secured 1, 43,669 votes with the party’s symbol
sheaf of paddy. 
His nearest rival Md Shafiqul Islam of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, contesting with the weighing scale symbol, bagged 1, 20,975 votes.

In the constituency, 1, 73,377 votes were cast in favour of ‘Yes’ in the referendum, while 68,644 votes were cast against ‘No’.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in capital's Agargaon area today.
