DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Independent candidate Atikul Alam Shawon has been elected unofficially from Cumilla-7 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 91,690 votes while his nearest rival BNP candidate Redwan Ahmed received 48,509 votes.

In referendum, 1,23,664 voters have cast 'Yes' votes and 39,358 others cast 'No' votes.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon in the capital today.
