JHALOKATHI, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate Rafiqul Islam Jamal has been elected unofficially from Jhalokathi-1 constituency in the 13th national parliamentary election.

He secured 62,010 votes while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami-nominated candidate Faizul Haque secured 55,120 votes.

In the referendum, 91,286 voters cast 'Yes' votes while 29,591 others cast 'No' votes in this constituency.

The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in capital's Agargaon area today.
