NARAYANGANJ, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) candidate Advocate Abdullah Al Amin has unofficially won the Narayanganj-4 constituency in the 13th parliamentary election, securing a decisive victory.
According to election results, Abdullah Al Amin received 1,06,171 votes, defeating his nearest rival, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Bangladesh candidate Monir Hossain Qasemi, who secured 80,619 votes.
Talking to BSS after the announcement of the results, Abdullah Al Amin described the victory as a triumph of the people. “This victory is not mine; it belongs to people from all walks of life in this region. They have voted for change. I will honor the dignity of their love through my work, God willing,” he said.
The NCP Joint Member Secretary also pledged to transform Narayanganj-4 into a safe and prosperous constituency. Referring to what he described as the area’s previous negative image, he said the constituency would no longer be associated with “negative branding” or criminal influence.
“We will develop this constituency as a safe, prosperous and positive area. It will be made difficult for terrorists, extortionists and drug dealers to operate here. Narayanganj will be a beautiful town for good people,” he added.
The newly elected lawmaker emphasized his commitment to ensuring law and order and promoting development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for residents.
