DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Mohammad Ali Asgar has been unofficially elected from the Khulna-5 constituency in the 13th National Parliament election.
According to results announced at a formal briefing at the Election Commission’s Referendum and 13th National Parliament Election-2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital, Ali Asgar secured 148,854 votes with the party’s electoral symbol, the Sheaf of Paddy.
His nearest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mia Golam Parwar, received 146,246 votes with the scales symbol.
In the same constituency, a total of 161,938 ‘yes’ votes and 127,381 ‘no’ votes were also cast.
The Election Commission is continuing to compile and release results from constituencies across the country.
